Guage Faces

Been Around the Block
I'm looking for a set of 1973 CB750 guage faces. Anubis is no longer selling them...Carpy is just a tad too pricey for his stuff. There is a guy on Ebay selling transparent faces. Sounds like you paint and detail your origional backing plates and apply the clear appliques over it. Has anyone tried these ones?

Orrr...do you know of any other sources to get them from?

I can say from experience that "...merely reposition the needle to the new bottom position where it reads correctly at all speeds and tachometer rev's" is a LOT harder than it sounds... at least on the bmw's.

I had do disassemble my speedo last spring and I have never been able to get the needle to read properly.. even with reference marks and being very careful I'm still ~20kph out.

Now he does have a GREAT rating (http://feedback.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=roberth9&ftab=AllFeedback) and people have said his instructrions were great... so maybe it's easier than I think.
