Followed it on SOHC4, but I've been away for a while. Lots of frame-bracing, no? ;)

This is my all new thread, I hijacked a cb350 thread doing the same thing so now I am trying to do my own thing and actually finish unlike anyone else trying this.

Here are some pics...........

O.K. updates and request for ideas...
geez its like im the first person to ever do something like this....

first off:
where to mount the radiator.
if I drop the bottom of the frame off so I can lower the engine and use it as a stressed member how should I brace up the now cut backbone?
ideas about exhaust outlets

second: which goes with the bottom of frame chopping. : I cant get the sprockets to line up because the oil pan hits the frame on the right side

I once saw a cafe bike that had been converted to a water cooled engine,(Aprilla engine, Norton frame) the builder mounted a long rectangular radiator under the seat. It had two electric fans on a relay to cool it. It was functional yet didnt mess with the vintage look. The bike was in cafe racer magazine issue#10

Well, i am gonna have to sleep on it now. I just found out that the cbr swingarm is connected to the cbr engine. Therefore I could alleviate the chain alignment very easily and free but then it has that dog ugly rim.

or 65 bux for an offset sprocket. hrmmm
logic keeps slapping me in the face and telling me that a rim is more expensive than a sprocket.

That is unless someone has one for cheap ??? :)

well I cut the frame today so I could get chain alignment worked out and headers installed. I am still hiding from the backbone gas tank fitment issue for now.

Dear God  This should be fun to watch, unfortunately I can't help much with your frame questions...but I'll be right here watching like a creeper :p

Alright, . started the frame mounts today.
I am using the aluminum bosses from the 600 as a temporary spacer and im just gonna tack it all in place until I am sure everything lines up right,.

The front mounts are more than likely gonna have a new drop tube(that will also serve as a crash bar) made for it by me.

right side mostly finished. needs larger holes drilled.

the actual frame bolt from the 600 is perfect for this application as it goes all the way through and will serve as an alignment tool of sorts. just gotta be sure on those bosses so I get proper chain alignment.

then the idea for the crash bar front bracket assembly

Ok I have just re-opened the can of worms. I placed the carbs on and decided to mod the air intake to get a rough idea of how small I could make this. It looks like it will work fine and save the most space. However, I know for sure the backbone is gonna have to be re-fabbed. the tank is gonna sit a little bit higher but I wanted that so I could lay on it at speed.
