I'm new to the forum so hello to all (first post was in the welcome section). I bought this clean SR500 with the rings roasted. I had about 40 psi in the tube. I poured a little oil in there and the compression went right back to 140ish so I'm assuming all the damage is in the rings. At this point I'm considering adding some power to the bike since I'm already going to be in there. Anyone have any ideas for a mild street setup? I was thinking about going with a 10:1 88mm piston and possibly a cam and/or carb. What are your thoughts for the most bang for the buck? Thanks
