1974 cl360 Rear Brake Pedal Question

Hello,

I apologize if this seems so frickin' simple and obvious but i swear I have tried everything. I have a 74 cl360. I'm trying to figure out how the heck to put the return spring on the break pedal. If anyone could take a pic of theirs for reference or draw a pic please let me know. Seems like it should be so easy but I'm ready to throw this brake pedal into the river.

That spring looks like the brake spring for a CB360 which sits inside the frame. The correct spring is wound differently. Take a look at the partsfiche. http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cl360-scrambler-360-k0-1974-usa_model551/partslist/F++12.html#results

That's a return spring. It should be set up to tension the pedal to return in the up position. I believe that hook should be below the pedal, not over the top of it.
