Wow, thanks redbird for the nom! It will be a tough run against these other two awesome machines! This bike was my entrance into the vintage bike world a few years back. I bought it for a song without a title and not running quite right. After sitting for a few years apart in dad's barn, I decided to tackle the job of re doing it to the best of my ability in my one car attached garage.
As it started
Got rid of the horrible spray bomb paint on the engine, and did a "slight bit" of hand polishing
I set out to make this not into a concourse restoration, but a fairy respectable rider, and that's what it is, it's not as shiney right now, as it was ridden a descent amount over the past summer, plus the barber and meltdown.
Thanks for looking and I'll appreciate any votes! And thanks to dtt and dcc for sweetening the pot for this contest!
Hello everybody! I'm new at this resource, and I just starting understand what's here and how)
... some photos in the finished form.
Additional Information:
Motorcycle 1952 of release. All parts used in the work from motorcycles 1950-70.
The Duc is a thing of beauty and the Suzuki deserves to win for the alloy polishing alone, but my vote went to the DKW for being such an out-of-the-box wonder.
All fantom.ac needs to do now is to hot-rod the motor!

Congrats Levi ;D
I've seen this bike in person, and can vouch that she runs as good as she looks, and looks better than the pics depict.
Well deserved indeed
Thanks to everyone that gave the opportunity to participate in the competition - this is my first experience of such an event)))
Thanks to those who voted for me, and personal thanks to stroker crazy, for having noticed my DKW and nominated him
Congratulations to the winner, with desire for a "full tank"! )))
Thanks guys, I really am pumped about this! Never would have thought that bike would be botm material but I'm extremely thankful that some of the people on this great site thought so
