aviator type goggles.. split lense vs curved?

I only have experience with full face helmets and dirt helmets with their respective goggles. Does anyone have any experience with split lens and curved lens aviator type goggs?

Im just wondering if the split in the lense would be annoying or if the curved lense would heavily distort objects? My arai hybrid helmet has a crazy curve to the face shield and i notice it kinda distorts my vision and is a bit more difficult to get used to. Not sure if this would be the same with goggles.

I have a really old pair of halcyon goggles with the split lens and I really dont notice it
