Been Around the Block
Hey folks I just got back from one of the coolest and lesser
known little shows in Utah. Dick Erickson made a bundle of money in the construction business then sold his comoany for even more. What he did with all his money is pretty epic. He opens up his ranch once a year to the public and its a great time. I took a ton of pictures and tried to get as many of the identification placards as I could to go along with it. So here we go.
First off he hosted a kinda sorta drag strip for old 4 cylinder model t's
There is a little swap meet complete with old racist cast iron banks...not uncomfortable at all....
Moving on....He bought and move a ton of old buildings and their various equipment and made a sort of little pioneer town
Oooo la la sexy!
For any Doctor Who fans
Blacksmith shop and Repair shop
Belt driven power hammer, runs off pto of a tractor and a leather belt. Next few are a scroll saw, drill press, band saw, and giant whet stone all run the same way
Printing shop
Cafe
My kiddo lol
House, you can read the story lol
This is kinda cool a hit and miss motor made into an ice cream maker. Ice cream it makes is awesome by the way.
This building had a bit of everything but the cool old snowmobiles and trail bikes oit front caught my eye
Ok, so the tractors lol Wow this is an impressive collection everything from steam powered giants to a lamborghini tractor and everything in between. I have a video of the giant steam tractor running the saw mill that I will post later.
The Auto repair shop
This bike out front is jist a hint of whats to come
And this Moto Guzzi dump...truck...thing....
Now the race cars
The trucks
And finally the crown jewel, the motorcycle collection
Bultaco!
The Jawa flat tracker and the whizzer bikes were cool
These next two are extremely rare and immaculately restored. Just beautiful to see and makes your butt pucker to even think of riding one! 100mph of a board track with no brakes....um no
Couple of hill climbers
Love this Indian
Another whizzer!
Early knuckle was super nice
This one was my personal favorite, just gorgeous.
Old oddballs
Old salt flats timimg system has a special place in my heart
Hey look at that its one of Steve McQueen's bikes
The Euros
Not sure what this is but dig that gas powered head lamp and the leather teeth riveted on the leather drive belt!
Cool little kids scooter thing
Worlds Fastest Indian Burt Munro memorabilia
The rest is just various pictures, seriously just stuff everywhere! So yeah I will just put this here...
This is an old flight simulator, why he has it...I have no idea
Now thats a power hammer! My Dad is 5'10" just for some scale. Can you imagine how the ground would shake when that beast would hit?
My dream car. And its probably worth as much as my house!
Thats right less than 200 original miles
Lots of creepy eccentric millionaire stuff like this around lol
Anyway thats a ton for now. I will post a couple videos later.
Hope you enjoyed looking as much as I did going.
Oh and if I posted doubles or messed up the pics, deal with it I'm not editing this monster lol
