CB350/360 starter block off plug, speedo spacers, tach plugs

crazypj

Split personality, I fake being smart
I made a couple of different starter block off plugs for my CB360 (see build thread, link in sig)
Fitted the original one (Mk II ;D ) and locktited the bolts in so I have a couple spare.

The bit you see on the outside, they all look the same

I modified them, they all weigh less than 2oz 1.5oz or less (1.47~1.49oz)
$32.50 including shipping

BTW, I checked ebay, $29.99 + shipping for a 4oz solid plug

SEE Post #70 for more pictures of correct fitting inside case

USPS is raising prices today (27th Jan 2013)
They raised them last year (27th Jan2012) but I didn't increase shipping
Unfortunately, I can't afford to do the same this year.
Don't know eaxct increase yet (as I haven't shipped anything with new charges)
It shouldn't be more than $1.00 though
First person to order starter plug gets it at the old price

OK, the bad news.
Postage rates are around 75~100% higher for small packages/'international' mail

I can't cut costs so prices will have to reflect new postal rates.

They come with the O-ring and the stainless screws right?

Yep, and stainless wave washers.
Probably a good idea to use a smear of sealant on plug and Loctite on screws

Re: CB350/360 starter block off plug

Just sent a pm asking about payment info. I'll take the next lightest one please!

Re: CB350/360 starter block off plug

If it has a starter motor it should be standard Honda size so it will fit, although I thought CL's didn't have an electric starter?
The 'hole' is 1.805"~1.807" CB350 was 1.800" but it's a bit dirty (oxidised)
I'm cutting up the rest of the bar and will be making more soon as a lot more people are asking about them.

Re: CB350/360 starter block off plug

Hey PJ, the package arrived today. Really nice piece, packed well, and shipped fast! If this were eBay you'd be getting great feedback from me. 8) All the best to ya, Cory

Re: CB350/360 starter block off plug

All sold.
won't be making any more until I get some 2" dia bar and my bandsaw fixed (I ain't cutting 2" by hand  )
Bar is on order, saw, when I get time (got an engine re-build to do and still haven't gotten bike stripped for paint)

Re: CB350/360 starter block off plug

Hey PJ, you have any of those screw-in corrected air jets for the CB360 left for sale? :)

Re: CB350/360 starter block off plug

I had to search them out as I stashed them 'safe' ;)
Air correctors,
I have 3 sets but I think one is sold?
I bought more 2" bar but can't cut it up yet ::)
Probably going to make some speedo/tach block offs this weekend

PJ

Re: CB350/360 starter block off plug

ALL GONE

2 sets sold, the 'third' are stock size
I have the 'new' ones in my carbs ;D
I'll make some more ASAP and will modify the stock ones
(Saturday is starting to look busy)

Re: CB350/360 starter block off plug

Good news (sort of ::) )
I stripped band saw motor and found it has a fusible link to protect stator wiring.
bad news is, its blown.
They are available in Europe so I ordered a few
Going to take at least 3 weeks though.
Then I can cut up the bar I bought and make some more plugs and stuff 8)

Re: CB350/360 starter block off plug

Couldn't wait for parts from Europe so I bought some stuff local and 'fixed' electric motor for band saw.
Well, it lasted for 4 cuts in 2" bar before the magic smoke leaked out :(
But, I do have blanks to make 3 plugs if anyone is interested?
