Let's see your Garage / Shop

Just got done scrubbing the floor. But, this is my "cage".

And no, I am not a firefighter. I just collect old and new fire axes. You can't buy an axe like these at home depot!

I got the opportunity to build my dream workshop a few years back - so I did. My wife made one rule - it can't be bigger than the house. Guess what? I broke the rule.

Here a shot of the machine shop area.

I built the entire thing myself and outsourced just a few things - like sheetrock on the ceiling, the trusses and the concrete.

It has radiant heat in the concrete pad and it's awesome. In the winter I set it to 55 degrees and it's too warm to wear a sweatshirt.

Wow.....very nice indeed. Where are you located? I see by your nick that you in the pacific northwest also..

I just recently got engaged and my fiancee bought us a house. Previously, my bike was at a buddy's garage because I was living in the 3rd story of an apartment. Now I have a place to get my project all started back up again! It isn't much I guess, but I love it! My buddy was nice enough to loan my his work bench and shelf.

NWDragRacer- might be hittin' you up for some tips on the heated floor as I am thinking about building a 2.5 car garage in my back yard and want a heated floor. Like you, I will do everything but the block, concrete and stucco on the outside.

here's some of the shop...
i apologize for the mess, sometimes it happens when ya let the work get in the way of keepin' it clean.

I wish I was able to have a shop like these, I currently have a shed packed with four bikes. Being in college definitely does not help but hopefully one day I will have a bad ass shop. Here are a few pics from my shop.

Don't worry at least you have some place to work on your bikes. It'll happen one day. Remember it doesn't all come at once. It takes time and years of hard work. I'm 56 years old and can finally afford a nice shop, tools and toys.

Home sweet home!

Just updated my cage with a new work bench. Took about four hours but it was well worth it compared to my previous setup.

put this area together pretty quick using an old door and plastic bins as a work bench, most of my power and air tools are yard sale / flea market finds for under $20....not sure if you can see the english wheel hiding behind my exhaust

In The basement of my govt' housing apartment

11' lip just in front of the door
only accessible by stairs (a real bitch to get a bike in)
the kicker is no electricity or heat.
