ex gf has that setup on her softail slim, came that way from the factory. The LEDs are so bright there's no way someone could not know you're stopping! I like them.
Cool. What's the turn signal housing you used? I got the Signal dynamics Penta Star system that does auto cancelling and also uses the turn signals as brake lights. Yet to set it all up, just need to decide on the turn signal housings with the dual element bulbs
The trailer converter is one from Pep Boys. Just make sure you get one for LED's, as they have both kinds. The flasher is an LED flasher from Auto Zone. The electronic flasher didn't work....I had to get one that stated LED.
The lights are from eBay. I have matching ones up front with amber lights. They're also dual intensity and could have been wired in as running lights.
The controller just needs two momentary switches to signal left/right/hazard(both switches together) ... I just got sub-mini momentary switches from radioshack and integrated them into my hand control clamps. They're not really water tight, so I'll be searching for a replacement if possible.
Here's the kit ... http://www.signaldynamics.com/penta-star-module/ ... there's also the XP version that can do dual brightness with a single filament/led but that doesn't work well if you also need to send a signal to a turn signal indicator on your gauge
I believe this was the flasher. The main thing is that it's LED. I had to swap around a couple of wires on the XS wiring harness to match the configuration on the plugs. Ground, light, power. There were a couple of options to choose from on these flashers....you might find one that's plug and play for your particular bike.
