Ignition coil meltdown

So I had some electrical trouble with my 79 gs425. My question is has anyone used an accel aftermarket coil set up for non cdi? I would love to stay original but price wise I just cant ( a new one from bike bandit is about 230 bucks) the 2 cylinder accel aftermarket is about 110. Any opinions on this?

I can't help with the Accel setup, but you can use coils from a lot of different bikes. I have coils from a low mileage GS500F on my GS450, and paid around $30 if I remember correctly.
