Been Around the Block
Just a quick peg board i chucked together.
Basically getting sick of digging for tools in tool boxes, scored a lot of old school tools and very soon getting a lot of my grandpas carpentry tools from back in the day so need somewhere to store them, also wanted it mobile and to have a fair amount of space.
My garage space is at a premium, i decided to move my hobby car outside (under a full waterproof car cover) to give me more space in garage and allow bikes in over winter / space for other projects. I Want to start having a bit of a play with some wood work in the future and preferably using only hand tools.
I Had an old door laying around, heaps of pine left over from boxing in some concrete, bought some casters and a few hooks, rest was scrap at home. All done with hand saw as i think quicker, easier and less noisy, used power drill for the hole aspects.
Happy with outcome, of all things i used "Pinterest" to get the idea of how to hand certain tools like the brace and bits.
Ended up using a spare Kawasaki shock as a handle to pull and push it, works great as spring allows a little flex.
Necessity was the little shelf for chucking tools currently using so dont have to always put back straight away, made it small so i dont end up just always leaving tools their.
Also had to rearrange the garage to move basically all storage to "my side" as expecting our first kid on December 2nd and need a car to fit and open all doors while in garage for getting baby out etc.
One day i will have a large shed, till then ill work with this setup.
On a side note my inlaws are building a new house and the shed on the old house they are keeping as father in laws sister is moving into the house, long story short we are fully cleaning out the shed and after planting the seed my father in law is all about turning that into a man space for us (my devious plan worked ), all my car parts are already there and my car will soon be stored in the shed their, thus shed at home is for the bike and other project tinkering only now.
