Conductive paint instead of wiring?

This dude used conductive paint pinstriping instead of wiring for the Di2 group on his bicycle, looks rad as fuck. Check it out:

Wouldn't be very practical on a motorcycle, but a cool idea for sure.
 
All well and good until you find a puddle and fry everything.
 
They don't fry when they get wet, but they're known to shift funny. They tend to shift in reverse. For anywhere from $1200 to over $3 grand, I don't know why people get them.
