Shaft Drive Help

Been Around the Block
Hi guys, just got a 1983 Kawasaki 750 LTD with only 2300 miles on it. Been unridden and garage kept since the early 90s. I'm pretty stoked on turning it into a sweet little cafe racer. With that being said, this is my first time. So I've got a lot of questions.

Can somebody help me out with shaft drive? If it were a chain or belt, I'd replace the sprockets and chain. But I have no idea what kind of maintenance is involved with a shaft drive and what needs to be replaced/fixed up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Just drain and replace the oil with the oil recommended in the owners or service manual. Not much maintenance required.

When you pull the fill plug you can visually inspect the gear teeth to make sure there is no damage.

Also, inspect for any leaks.

Thanks man! Appreciate the help.

Any idea where to find a service manual for an older bike like this?
