1981 Yamaha SR250 Cafe Racer

Sorry, just went through the loose nuts & bolts draw in the garage.

Finally got it started so will get it registered and take it for a spin for photos

Once again, sorry guys for the delay in pics. We wanted to do it right so took it to a studio and got a few photos taken. I've just posted a couple here and there are a couple more HERE

Hope you like them

Still a few things to be done to the bike before we are totally happy with it so I promise to update more often.

Look out for our next build - A CB750 SOHC

That is sweet, I may have to rethink selling the spare 250 I've got.
One of my favourite bikes on this site.

CLEAR! Sorry for the old thread revival, but this looks like a really good thread. Except for the fact that every single image Lunar posts doesn't exist anymore. Any reason for that? Anyone know where to find these images?

Hi Twistekeys,

I use dropbox and link the photos to the files. I imagine at some stage I must've moved the files which in turns changes the file path and therefore one can no longer see the pics. Don't remember doing that but I can think of no other explanation.

A mini build thread is here http://garageprojectmotorcycles.tumblr.com/custom4
A 47 page build thread is here http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/forum/f61/yamaha-sr250-cafe-racer-78221/
The feature on Pipeburn is here http://www.pipeburn.com/home/2011/9/17/garage-projects-yamaha-sr250-lunacy.html

That stinks, thanks for the links though mate!

6 years on...

My old username was lunar_c (forgot password and changed email address.. can't retrieve it) and this was my build thread.

Does anyone know where my old bike ended up?

Regards,
Ben

Hi Ben,

I sold it to a gent in Perth who then moved to Austria or Switzerland and he took the bike with him. He sent me a pic of him with the bike on some mountain pass. I haven't heard from him since so hopefully the brakes worked on the way down!

Cheers
Rex
