Looks very tidy, why the change to Honda parts though?

The Honda cg parts are so cheap on ebay
I paid 7 euro for the yoke assembly
50 for the fork
So my answer to your question is why not
And side by side even if they look the same they do not feel the same at all
I love my skyteam but you get what you pay for
I was lucky to find mine in the box for 900 euro

Nice one. I can think of a dozen reasons why to swap in Honda parts where ever possible!
Fair play to you for retaining a fork brace. I'd try to beef it up if it were mine though.
If you slap on a 150cc piston and barrel it will transform it.

150cc it's the next step

but i can't get out of my mind to swap the engine with a honda xl 125 engine or something similar

XR 200 is the way to go if you can .... this would give you a serious bit of kit.

OOracing include new head with larger valves. But some Ace owners have found that using the existing 125 head with the 150 cylinder works well.

Works very well with 125 head, gives high compression.
I cleaned up the casting Spurs on the intake port but left it textured (this keeps the petrol/air charge atomised) and polished the exhaust port.
