Need tank and seat advice for CB550

Hey cafe guys- Just starting my first of four cafe bike builds. My first is a 77 CB 550. I was thinking of legendary Lyta-Sprint tank with a french cat eye seat pan. I want to locate electrics and battery under pan. Will I have enough room and is this a good combo?....Russ

what are you doing with your stock tank? Interested in selling?

before you build your seat pan you need to buy whatever rear shocks you will be using(stockers are crap and GOOD shocks is some of the best money you can spend) then check where the wheel/tire is at full bottomed out travel and make the pan have some clearance to that, 1" is good leaves room for different tire sizes
not doing this is the number one fail on builds,well besides using pods
