Newbie - XS650 or Eleven purchase?

I am finishing up work on a VTX1800 and looking forward to starting a cafe bike. I have my eye on some bikes and in doing preliminary research on parts I have found the market to be strong on the xs650's. Other than the front forks is there a major difference between the two bikes? Do 650 parts fit a 1100 bike? Is an additional 35hp stock worth the extra work on the 4 carbs of the 1100?

Did you mean the XS1100? If so, you'll find the XS1100 is a shaft drive compared to the XS650's chain drive and so is much more similar to the XS750/850 triples which were also shafties.

Yes - xs1100. If I was building a bobber I would not purchase a shaft drive. But I a want to build a cafe and don't find a parts marketed as heavily to 1100's, 750's, or 850's..
Just looking for direction on the start of a build bike.
