nice clip. what was top speed?

Touched 60mph/96kph but had to back off because of the traffic

Only done about 400 miles so far and I'm a 104kg lump

Mind you if I want to go fast I use the Blackbird :)

Do you know the Super Sausage on the A5 @ Pottersbury?

not bad for a gentle ride. mine is still too new to open up but hitting around that mark when speed limits allow.
Really like your build bike is looking good.
im a bit lighter than you but wish i was as light as i was 15 years ago 42 kg on my bike would make it a goer. not quite that now..hitting 82kg .

don't forget to add 7-10kg for leathers, helmet , boots, mobile phone etc ;o)

Nah - prefer the Ace soundtrack ! ;) :D

I do indeed know the Super Sausage , does a good breakfast , I used to live almost within sight of the A5 - at Hanslope can see the church spire a long way off !

If i had my registration through I'd drop over - been ten days since I sent my insurance docs to the dealer but he seems to have mislaid them

The Ace soundtrack is certainly addictive. Guess I should take Mavis (my 92 CBR600 ) in tomorrow and get a full house lol

Thats a bugger about the reg. Lost with the dealer or with DVLA?

Seems the dealer is the problem (?) - have sent the insurance certificate again today and hoped for the best :)
Need to get out to see if my straight through megaphone is too loud !

Have taken my swingingarm out and measured the spacer , 17.9mm , and greased the bearings - seems more play in the bearings than I'd like . Tried to shim the ends but the problem seems to be that the spacer is undersize for an 18mm i/d needle roller ?

The sticking up reflector seems to have "fallen off" mine ;) and as mentioned the nuts/bolts seem to gall/seize not sure if its their quality of surface finish/lack of lube .

May have been better sending the paperwork off to the DVLA yourself.

Well if you can't ride her (legally) you may as well tinker :)

Hey all,
Bike is starting to loosen up!
Clicked over 1000k today
and hit new top speed of 90k's
only mods to eng r iridium plug,
capped off egr and a
12mm hole in rear muffler
looking forward to loosing the cat soon!
So question?, after its removed ,
will it run ok without jet upgrade?
garage time poor at the mo!
cheers ACEitup

My next step is like you, I'll remove the cat and replace the muffler. I've got the jets sitting there too ready to go in and hope to do both mods around Xmas.

cutting off the cat on saturday morning
adding pipe and welding original muffler back on ( with the cat in it)
worried I'll lose back pressure with a aftermarket
slip on? also dont want to be too loud!
see how it goes Sunday thru the nasho
I can always cut it off and add one later.
I have the choice of changing to a chinese mikuni carb or
re- jet original which I ready also have upgrades
just need more time to fit :(
still havn't got to my front forks yet either

cheers ACEitup
