Just joined the forum. Hoping for some good tips and tricks. What I have is a true barn find. It is a 1970 cb100 been sitting for what I was told 20 plus years. It is missing some parts which I have been having some trouble finding. My plans are full restoration. It took several days but it is now running. Runs a bit rough but sure as I get deeper into it it will get better. Here is a few pics after I cleaned her up a bit.

Welcome to the board. Nice little bike you've got there. I'd try and keep it as original as possible if that's what you're going for. Get it running and do your basic maintenance. I would keep it as original as possible -keep the paint if you can, it looks pretty good from the pics. Replace that front fender with a stock one, definitely.

Whats going on with the forks?

Nice CB! Looks like you're off to a great start. You might be able to pick up some of the stuff you're missing by posting in the "Buying" section of the forum. Find out if there are any swap meets in your area, too. At some point eBay is pretty much unavoidable. While I've had mostly good experiences there, some eBay sellers are borderline con artists- be careful.

There are alot of repop parts for the CB100 coming out of Taiwan as these are still pretty popular and prevalent bikes over there. They have many of the original dies and tooling and they are really nice. Shipping takes awhile but prices are pretty nice. I got a few things when I was building mine.

Thanks to all. JS. I have been seeing a lot of repop parts. If that's the way I have to go it will do. On another note there was second bike I acquired at the same time. It is a 1975 cb550 it is in a little worse condition but does turn over and has good compression. That being said I think this one will go cafe. I have lots of ideas and hopefully after looking around the site can find more or better ones. Thanks for the info. Got both bikes for 300 so I'm doing good so far.

Someone painted over the bike with camo green paint. Hsvnt got to the forks yet but it has been coming off. As for the bike itself I planned on doing full restore but am thinking twice about it from what info I have gotten so far on it I think it may be best way to go.
