Been Around the Block
Corny name haha, but I'm really excited for this bike. This was the bike that got me hooked. It was the bike that my friends and I rallied around and mercilessly sliced, diced, and welded with a lack of what some would call skill haha.

Nearly 10 years later I was able to drag this guinea pig out of my buddies back yard. The plan is to take this hard tail sportster want to be and turn it into a modern cafe racer. I submitted the build to Old Bike Barn's greasy dozen contest, so I can't officially start the build till the 24th in case we make the cut. I put together a short vid and will leave you guys with some pix.

Our project was chosen for the Greasy Dozen! This was the final before pic that we had to submit along with the tear down video.

Updates should be a lot more frequent now that we are allowed to start working on it.

So here is a quick mock up pick and video update. We got a chance to toss the bike some what together to get an idea of what it would look like. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but I'm looking forward to it! Let me know what you guys think.

Making some progress
Picked up a GS500 rear rim for the back. We had to adapt a 530 sprocket to it to make it compatable with the older honda.

Milled the welds off the stock swing to replace the gussets with a custom brace.

I wanted to do a quick explanation, but it turned into a ramble fest haha. Basically it's a gps driven speedo that will log speed, location, and the x/y/z axis of the bike.
 
Sorry for the long delay. Have been busy with the bike. Will have to get some better pix when the shop is straitened up.

The swing arm still isn't done. There are some more supports to weld in. Had to make sure we were set on our shock position before tying everything in.
