Is the collector pipe a larger diametre than the headers?
What are the diametres you have used?
I don't have the answers but if you give the info some one will probably be along who will.
I do know that if you go too big you will lose exhaust gas velocity and back pressure.
I've been building a single 125 system following advice from mates and guys on here and it is defo a dark art.

i went to 130 90 16 on the rear of mine. only rub was at the rear brake stay. i spaced it out with some washers.
how are you liking that exhaust?

Nice! Glad you got the bigger one on there, I am sure that looks great, snap a pic when you can. I am loving the exhaust, the 2 in 1 setup totally changed the way the bike sounds and its a bit more peppy. I will attach a pic. Let me know how your project is going. Mine is almost done except for a few things-tail light, paint the pipes, and re-register and insure it, then its ready to ride.

All finished in the looks department, it feels very comfortable to sit on and looks way better than stock so I am happy. Now just need to rejet! Anybody have any tips for rejetting, I have filter pods and strait pipes and I build a baffle for the pipes. Any jetting help is appreciated.

Yeah, it was scraped, it had a small unfillable pin hole as well-pipe got to thin welding it, so I went with the straight pipes instead. I will try another 2-1 in the near future though. I am just ready to ride now, all work and no play.
