T500 Titan Twingle

Jimmer,
Great method to get a tapered headpipe with minimal welding. The only other set of chambers I've seen with the headpipes fabricated the same way are hanging in my store room - they were built almost 35 years ago(!) for my TZ250 / RD400 hybrid.
Can't understand why more headpipes aren't built the same way - you've given a lot of guys something to think about for their next pipe fabrication project.
Looks like you've had a lot of fun with your 500 twin - keep up the good work!
Pat
Indeed! I will try this method next time for sure.
Look forward to seeing how she runs!

paco:"The only other set of chambers I've seen with the headpipes fabricated the same way are hanging in my store room - they were built almost 35 years ago(!) " You are the only person I have heard of then! I have seen people starting with the smaller diameter and adding long skinny pie slices. johnu: It sure would have been nice if the track was open Fri. It was 68 degrees with a nice cheater tailwind!

Effing Braggart!
I shovelled the driveway, my neighbour's driveway and the sidewalks 3 times today ya jimmy!
Wasn't going to use the snowblower 'cause the weather forecast said half of what we got, so didn't get it out 'til noonish and then, why bother?
As regards the tapered headpipe, I ponder why someone would add more material and do more work, rather than cut some material out and do less work, but there you go (I had a job in manufacturing research with a major aerospace company awhile back and trust me, after awhile you realize, less is more, always)?
Have a nice ride, ya lucky bastid.

I grew up in Wisconsin, our driveway was about 50 miles long. And when I got done shoveling that,I still had our sidewalks, 4 neighbors, and my Grandmothers place too! I hate shoveling!

Well I was all loaded up ready to go to the track. And they cancelled test/n/tune 3 hours before track opening. FRUSTRATING.
