I'm thinking the shortened seat has a lot to do with it too. The front 3/4 of the bike is very compact and 'full', then the rear is very open. The rear tire is kind of hanging out in the middle of nowhere by itself. I like the bike, for sure, but you either need to do something to draw the eye from the gap between the tire and the seat, or make it more of a focal point to make it seem that the imbalance was intentional. Keep up the great work, still excited to see where this goes.

Looks good... but you need to shorten the exhaust a little... not the can just the pipe.. It would look better if the can ended at the shock...

Hey eric,

The front end is from a kawasaki 636. I had the CB stem modified and pressed into the 636 lower triple ($85.00) and then just bolted the front end on with new all balls bearings. The rear wheel is CBR F2 wheel. It bolts directly on to the stock CB swingarm. You have to use the F2 brake caliper and brake arm and fab up a stay for the brake arm on the swingarm but it is not a huge deal. I played around with the CB and CBR spacers until I found the combination that fit properly and just bolted it up. The single best upgrade on these bikes is the F2 wheels. Good Luck.
 
The carbs are Mikuni BST36SS 36mm carbs from an 89 GSXR 750 sling shot. This is a common upgrade for these bikes over at the CB1100F.net forum as the prevailing opinion there is that the stock carbs are not very good. They were a breeze to hook up. The spacing is a little off from the stockers so you cannot use the stock boots. I made mine from radiator hose and they work great. The carbs already had a dyno jet kit installed when I bought them. I mounted them up and had a guy tune and synch them for me. Took about 10 minutes to get tuned and the bike screams with them.

Besides the F2 wheels, I would say this is the next best upgrade for these bikes. 8)
 
I love this bike... been following its evolution on the fighter forum. love it man, the swing arm just makes it for me... love the sound!

I just ran a single throttle cable. No push pull set up. The only problem I ran into is that the stock throttle cable is about 3/4" too long, even adjusted all the way out. I ordered a custom throttle cable from motion pro for like 35 or 40 bucks. I also shortened the stock cable on my own. I planned to use it until the custom cable was delivered. The custom cable came in and I never hooked it up. My shortened cable is working fine, so I have an extra if I ever need it.
