Tyres for a CB250 (97/Nighthawk)

I've scoured the forum for info on 250 Nighthawks, and unsurprisingly there's not a whole lot of info on these little ugly things. I picked one up cheaply with $1000's worth of registration & roadworthy (ridiculously expensive to own a vehicle down under), and now planning a brat inspired build (a week in Japan turned me right on to the everyday-rider brat style) to start in a few months after riding out the last of the warm weather.

Stock tires are 100/80-18 up front and 120/90-16 at the rear, not an easy combination to find tyres for.

Kenda K761's look like a good match, with a 100/90-16 rear and a 110/80-18 front. The 16" rear is listed as a front tyre (http://www.kendatire.com/en/motorcycle/dual-sport/k761-dual-sport/), but I can't see any difference in the tread pattern? Would it be safe to run this on the rear?

Would prefer something closer to stock 120 on the rear, and there's enough room to get a 110 or maybe a 120 up front. Given both the bike and myself aren't maniac speed demons, I like the idea of a good, safe road tyre that will handle mild dirt so I can get it out of the city on the weekends and explore some dirt roads out bush. Super responsiveness cornering isn't a priority as I don't attack corners. Have a fair bit of saddle time touring Cambodia on a Honda FTR with the big Dunlop K180 up front and that was great all round, but they don't come in a 16".

Any better alternatives out there? I've spent the last week googling my little heart out with limited success.

Cheers
