CB350 Demo Bike

The S100 arrived on Saturday, so I hosed the bike down and then rinsed it off. Not the best cleaning job ever, but for next to zero effort, it was pretty damn good.

I also got a cheapo headlight shell from eBay (with integrated turn signals) and then put one of our LED bulbs into it ($45 from our website). New universal controls are mocked up as well (also from our website for $65).

The headlight bucket required a little modification, but nothing a hole saw and a drill press couldn't fix.

New grips are already on the way and I have a battery arriving soon as well.

Hows the light from the bucket with the LED? I have the same shitty bucket, the bulb that came in it lasted less than 5 hours. I put a regular spare in it but it still kinda sucks. If the LED is good I'll probably grab one from you. Still haven't had a chance to get the accessory lights I bought from you mounted yet, but hope to tonight or tomorrow.

It's better than the halogen, but I know the bulbs can do even better with a decent reflector. On my Duc, this bulb will throw usable light for 150 yards. On this shell, maybe 80 or 90?

I should upgrade both then. I have a bucket and lens/reflector from the GL1100 but the trim ring to hold them together is missing. That might be the better idea.

The grips and battery arrived.

The ETZ5G barely fits, so I'll have to make sure I have some insulation in place.

Looks to me like the EarthX actually doesn't fit. Your terminals don't have the screws or connectors in the pic. Plus, if you want to run a plug for the tender, you'll need even more gap.

Unfortunately, no. I probably should have gone with the deeper tray and then it would probably be OK to stand upright. I have some ideas, though.

Sometimes you gotta think outside the box.

Integrated tail light is also mounted up. I ended up using some zip ties around the edges and then went over it with one of our upcoming products: Self-vulcanizing silicone tape. The tape contains no adhesive, but chemically bonds to itself. Within a few minutes of contact, the tape forms an solid chunk of silicone that is entirely water proof and heat safe up to 350°F.

90* so the terminals are facing the front of the bike? Almost looks square like it should fit. I almost bought this tray it's very good price and build quality.

First thing I tried. :(

The battery is a bit wider than it is tall.

Mounted up a new universal front fender from Acerbis, finished up the wiring, added some stickers, and used more of our self-vulcanizing tape to wrap the kicker.

Still need to sort out some gauges, a rear fender, and some tires. Also waiting on the Koni's and SL swinger to arrive.

Just a few more pics for now. GPS speedo arrived yesterday and I need to make a bracket. Still waiting on the tach to get here.
