Wierd question...My 1st bike, a '76 XL250 Honda was built in June '75, and my current build, a '73 CB350F was built in May '72........

Does PA still do this? (Titled as year first registered)

No the title is year of production! I know a guy that had a shop and had this 75 CB 750 for 5 years and when sold it was still titled as a 75

It used to be that they only titled tje bike when it was sold. Like your saying. If the manufacturing date is 72 and the bike sat in the dealership until 74 the title would read 74.

Can't help ya with new bikes though. I've never owned one.

As far as new goes: wouldn't it be like buying last years car model? Just because it sat on a lot for a year, doesn't mean it's this years model?

I would say the date on the neck is the final word.

If its a 72 and sold in 74 it's titled as a 72.
