I am new to Cafe Racer restoration and have a 1981 CB650C with air suspension front fork. Want to see if there is a way to convert it to a standard non air suspension? Appreciate all suggestions.

Getting the spring rate and preload (PVC spacers) dialed in will do the trick.

If you'd rather have a standard setup with fork oil, easiest way would be to swap the front end. You'll still have to dial in the preload and spring rate... It's best in terms of time and cost to try to get what you have to work before swapping parts.

as has been said get some correct springs for your weight
the air setup has fork oil just like a spring setup
the air is just an assist for fine tuning

actually the air assist forks you have can be set up to work fine, why do you want to change them ?

I think Honda recommended about 15psi in forks?
Oil level has more effect than air pressure, start with recommended amount and measure how high it is inside fork tube (springs out, leg compressed)
Adding 1/2" of oil increases pressure build up from about 2/3 travel

....and you can easily test and tune on a ride with one of these babies
