Man that was a blast to watch that.
What are the specs on your engine?
She sounds fantastic, and looks like she gets up and goes just fine!
I've been thinking about getting my twin KZ750 in the vintage racing that has just started up here in Phx.

Cool video.
That track is a lot bumpier than it looks.
I raced at the first Runway Romp on a modern era 125gp bike and was foolish enough to fill in as the monkey on a modern sidecar rig - the most frightening experience in recent memory!

As far as building your own bike, don't. Believe me when I tell you that it's a lot cheaper to buy a fully race prepped bike at the end of the season. If you do it this way, then next season you are out on the track racing, having fun and all that good stuff. Too many people figure they can build a bike and go racing, but there are soooo many rules, regs, do' and don'ts that it is overwhelming. Bikes usually go fairly cheap at the end of the season too. So, get a bargain, join a club and get out there and race, then once the bug has bitten you, then consider building your own.
I really think you'd have more fun this way, but that is just based on my experience
