Avon AM26 -- Different compounds?

Hey guys,

Looking to purchase a set of Avon AM26s for my 1977 cb550 supersport. Looking on ebay, I notice that there's quite a few different ones(mid-range, general purpose, vintage racer). I was wondering if they're all the same compounds or if there's different compounds between them. I do lots of spirited riding, so I want the best compound possible.

From what I have seen,is that there are two compounds. Race or street.
