I have been lurking here for sometime. Thanks everyone for sharing all the great info and pictures. I had a couple CB350s about 10 years ago that I loved playing with, but sold to pay for ACL surgery. (my bank account was rideable 
) Anyhow, 2 years ago and my garage had an empty space that needed a project in it. I snagged a 1981 CB650 for $250 off craigslist. 3000 original miles and a clean title with all the parts still on it. I would walk past the bike a lot and take off this and that and move it around and pick at it, but this spring it really started to take shape. I didn't have a clear vision just taking it as I go, but I'm pretty happy with it so far.
I have a small to-do list:
-Mount the seat and relocate tail light behind seat
-finish the bracket for the speedometer and neutral light, maybe add other lights and switch
-Maybe change the bars for clipons (sitting in a box in my garage)
-cut some airbox covers out of sheetmetal (I have the plastic ones, but dont like the look)
Thats pretty much it, just wanted to share some photos.
