New handle bars; sounds simple, take off the old and bolt on the new black ones. One problem; the XS650 uses chassis ground for the starter button circuit. With coated bars there is no ground. In the following pictures you will see my solution. I ran a ground wire from the start switch mounting point to the top triple tree pinch bolt.
