Hey Do the Ton!!

I'm from New Mexico and have always admired Cafe Bikes.. just seemed like the way they ought to be to me!

I've got a couple of basket cases cause I am skint, never having worked on motorcycles but having restored a couple of lawn/fullsized tractors and after doing my own mechanical work I felt like I was worthy of the challenge but that may be bravado getting me in trouble again..

So the list is,
60 C15 BSA with a 250cc motor as art unless I kind soul as parts on the cheap.
73 Yamaha TX500 that I would actually get running well enough to ride daily.

I can't wait to be able to brag and intend to do the ton on my old Yamammaha.

Welcome to the board from a fellow TX owner. That 500 had a listed top speed of 105 from the factory. It "should" be able to reach it if rebuilt properly, or obviously, modified and improved. Weight is one of the biggest areas for improvement as it has 2/3 the power of a CB750, but weighs the same o_O

Hey man, welcome and here's to the ton up! Working on getting my CB750 past the 20mph mark but got triple figures in the crosshairs...
