so no updates on the bike right now because I ordered some wiring for my trucks headlights, but I did find some parts I want to get for my bike, first ones a ballistic battery, and the second is truflex led lights from custom dynamics

Now I just have to decide if I want to keep the original key unit and get a push button ignition or get a key ignition

I would suggest 3 layers. I started with 2 and last minute went 3 before the upholster. Really glad I did, your bum will thank you too.

All sorts of guidance like using new (proper gauge/color) wires, using new plugs/sockets, using wiring loom to hold everything together, deciding on using a simplified wiring diagram, etc.
thanks for the help I also found these, alittle pricey though

What paint did you use?

I would throw some clear on it. I used DupliColor's Wheel Paint and clear. Turned out great IMO.

So didn't get to do any work on my bike this weekend, because I was building my 3d printer
