still some parts that have to be made or modified.. but it was great seeing the "look" of the bike. Gives you an idea of my planning has worked out or not..

so, do you guys like what you see so far?

custom spokes from central wheel in the UK will be arriving tomorrow. so i should have the rear wheel laced up before the end of the week :) just have to polish the hub before assembly..

made a tank strap out of stainless steel, drilled and countersunk along the top, just for looks. spring loaded clamp in the front.

happy with the look of this part :)

Just lots more to do before the bike is ready...

Sorry for the non-bike post but would you be able to post a pic of the S30 in the background, looks very yummy :)

Nice work on the strap.

this stock dust cover over the steering bearing was ugly.

a new part was machined to replace it :D

also got spacers for the calipers to get them to clear the 320mm discs, and plugs for the rear of the frame. the spacers are alu, and the plugs are steel and will be welded in, and then grind down the weld.

details take a LOT of time.. but the devil is in the details.. i hope?

approved ?

cognito moto sold me a set of the new fox podium R shocks.. will probably powdercoat the spings gloss black but other than that they look really great and were easy to fit. Had to adjust the lengt of the bushing that goes in the top, so it matched the width of the stock bolt on the cb550 frame.. also got a lot of other bits and pieces today and will carry on building as soon as possible,
all new cables for clutch, throttle etc mounted too.
Rear wheel was delayes at the wheelbuilder and really looking forward to getting that. want to see the bike on its wheels again..

rear wheel arrived today. got the tire mounted as fast as possible and mounted the wheel on the bike to see how the general look of the bike would be.
I think i am happy with the "look" of things. Just have to finish everything else now asap :D

fantastic !!
the only issue i see is the rear brake hook up it won't work worth a darn like that, a shame on such a finely detailed bike

will gladly redesign the rear brake setup if i have screwed up :) please educate me. this is afterall my first motorcycle build :)

the ideal is set up like this image, activating the stock brake shaft and rod
the angle of moment at the pivots should be as close to 90 degrees as possible but you get the idea
the way you have it it will flucuate with every bump in the road
