maybe between the 3 of us we could make a batch of those manifolds?

I'd say so. This sounds like a good plan

Yiss! I bet there would be a small market for them as I'm in a fairly active XL600R FB group. I could look into 3D printing as it would potentially be cheaper than having them milled.

The engineering department here can 3d print models in a snap once we have a solid drawing for test fits ect.

Id really like to ditch the dual carbs if possible on mine...

Nice, I can 3D print a manifold here, too. A company I use (shapeways.com) offers 3D printing in aluminum, stainless, mild steel etc. for reasonable prices.

I just talked to the engineering dept head here at the school. I guess we partner with a university that has a metal 3d printer. He's all for making it into a class project for his engineering students..

BOOM! The other thing to think about will be fitting a boot to the airbox. I'm bringing my bike into the shop this week so I'll start getting some initial ideas going once I get the motor back into the frame.

Does someone have flow test results for this design? Those runs look pretty short. Curious what the porting looks like too.

not sure. im guessing they talk about it in that thread that nick linked, but the dang thing wont load on my computer for some reason.

Its a 3 wheeler made out of an XL600R and XR600R parts.

There's not much info on that particular thread and that guy hasn't been active on Thumpertalk for a few years but I'm sure theres more info somewhere out there.
