We had one of the big pine trees on our lot come down in a windstorm last May. Got the tree cutting service to cut the trunk into about 6 foot lengths, which I have drying right now. My father-in-law and I are going to make "primitive" lawn furniture with them in the spring.
Cedar would work great as well.

But I like fire too.

The fire is just for all the branches. I have 40 ft of good logs plus another 20 of split stuff.

good idea, we were thinking a decorative fence but the logs would make nice wide boards for a table and benches
