Nice man. I made the mistake of staring directly at the LED strip when I hooked mine up and turned it on. That sucker was bright!

Found the center line vertically and horizontally of the hoop.
Traced the LED Strip onto the hoop.
Cut out the shape slightly larger than the led.
Cut a piece of C Channel to the same depth as the LED.
Notched the C channel so I could bend it to the same Radius as the hoop.
Welded the C channel into the hole of the hoop.
Grind/weld/grind/weld/grind/weld until the profiles all matched.

There is probably an easier way to do it, but I don't own a tube bender or a torch. With either of those, getting the radius to match would have been a lot easier.

Ok yeah I was wondering if you welded something back into the notch.
