Tried my first start, backfiring out the carbs. Any ideas? (Video)

was a timing issue on my cb360, was firing late and fuel was still burning during exhaust stroke. try adjusting timing first.

working on that, take a look at my most recent posts in my build thread. It seems like my points are in reverse? 1-4 are firing at the 2-3 mark and vice versa. But all my wiring seems to be in order. Any ideas?

Are your coils wired correctly and the plug wires going to the right cylinders (difficult to mess this part up of course)?

It's possible the wiring to the coils is simply swapped, if the wrong cylinders are firing at the wrong time.

I believe so. In the build thread there is talk about the advance weights being 180 out. Which may be my fault when I reassembled it. Does that make sense?

Got her started. It was definitely the points lobe being 180 off and the timing being trash.
