cb900f crank

going to try and build a stroker

still reading up on what parts ill need for the motor build
looking for 1100cc+ and 110 whp+

figure ill run webers for carbs.

looking for a F2 lower end, they have a better bearing on the final drive

you mean use the dohc head? this motor is being built for a sohc motor

read that the cb1100R rods are the way to go. not sure where to find them

well the part about the cb1100R rods is something that ive heard.

but yes the plan is to build a big bore stroker sohc motor.

been talking to some sidecar race guys and some 3/4 midget racers about these huge motors

thanks for the links

one of the guys over in sohc4.com is making builit cylinders that will work to 72+mm

a lightened cb900 crank with some minor work will fit in the sohc case.
the dohc crank gives better primary and cam chains.

yes i understand about the chains.
If has been done a few times with very good results.
ill dig up the build threads.

yes its a custom set up but its amazing how many of the OEM off the shelf parts can be used.
If you take your time and search out the parts its not as much money as one would think. but its surely not a cheap build.

The controls should be done being polished and going back on the bike this week
i need to get the sight window back into the master

Im thinking about running Paso levers has anyone ever run them? any feed back?
was thinking about getting those cheap ebay knock offs to see how i liked them

Still need to order
-rubber grommet for tank to frame mounts
-order brake pins
-headlight ring
-banjo bolts

been reading up alittle on the front suspension.....

i bought the cartridge inserts after i already bought the progressive front springs.
ive found out that i really should run a straight rate spring with the cartridge set up. anyone know more about this then me?

Find the member "Beatnic", it is what he does for a living and he knows suspension better than anyone I know. He will have an answer for you quick!

i used a new front res that has a higher capacity then stock to feed the larger twin piston rear

my rear fender lining will not line up right after the rear of the frame was shortened.
not really sure what to do.
im thinking of using the mounting points on the frame rails to mount a curved piece of metal and make a custom liner
maybe even use a cool street sign or something

not really sure if i like the tribar on this bike.

brand new chrome headlight ring came in and will look great on the flat black bucket
i need to get the hardware to mount it all up

finished up polishing the controls
i think they came out well and will look great on the bike

DSCN0266.jpg

need to clean up the wires for the controls

DSCN0268.jpg

the top switch from the controls i polished is mint and will top things off nicely

CR tanks are the bees knees. You could paint the ugliest colors in the world and it'd make a bike look good.

Yours then, should be exceptional.

parts are in the mail!
i bought new screws for the freshly polished controls.

so when the nice box filled with OEM stuff gets here i can cross some stuff off my list.....

anyone have a source for banjo bolts?

really cant wait till the parts come in.
im pumped to have the brakes done. and i think they are going to look and perform great
