1977 CB750 Deviant Hell Ride

Just a pause to give a point of reference. The tail I'm going for is to be a combo of tracker and 70's era race bike...

Thanks, man. I just hope I can take it all the way through the process... ;)

Thinking of running a scoop, at least on the oil side.

Love the scoop idea, I think the tail may be a little short though. I like the length on the Kawi race bike, maybe somewhere in between?
Just an opinion and you know what those are like...

Ha. I hear ya. A longer seat gives you more room for multiple riding positions. I want to be able to slide back and forth. The 360 seat I made held you snug like the race seat and that bike sucked to ride any distance on. Flat trackers often have a longer pad, which is how I went on my XL. This 750 seat combines the 360 and XL seats.

How about lengthening just the tail section, the back of it, not the whole seat pan. I was thinking the tail itself looked a little stubby

Definitely cool though, don't get me wrong

First coats of Aqua-resin over the foam. Edges are still rough here, especially around details like the scoop and the oil cap. A few more layers and we'll be ready for mold.

I finally got the front end sorted. Even without slinging forks into my neighbors yard. This is what you see:

KZ650 tree+KZ750 forks+KZ550 axle.. On Friday Mr E will be delivering split shims he machined to adapt the 550 axle to the 750 fork.

I also made a pattern for the seat. Since I just bought an e wheel from BradJ, I want to go at it in metal. #metalheadz

Well gents, we have an official rolling frame. With a little finesse, I got the front axle sorted. For now (maybe forever), I deleted the speedo gear and the crappy plastic side cover. The axle uses the stock spacer, a CB750 spacer and a washer made from the wide, end of another spacer. Nothing a hacksaw and a file can't do.

Looks like this project is really gonna come together nice. Im pretty interested to see the metal work start.

Those wheels are rad

I bought an English wheel from Brad last week. I decided to rework the fairing with it.
