1977 CB750 Deviant Hell Ride

you did awesome on that bracket

it does look like a dual piston honda gl650 or cb650 or even a 82 cb900 custom bracket would be just what you needed

the fork lower looks "about ": the same

Hey again, this may be a request way out of left field but any chance you igh be able to take a few pictures of the underside of your tank? I don't know if you remember but I am the guy who is also trying to fit a 500 tank on a 77 cb750 and I just want to get a bit of a better understanding of where to start "massaging" the tank haha. Love where your build is headed btw.

Cheers!
Andrew

Went to an awesome pick and pull near my parents and pulled a cargo light from an '89 Ford Ranger pickup. Polished up the lens a bit with toothpaste, trimmed about a quarter inch off its profile and now I have. a tail light. My intention is to put two yellow LEDs for turn signals and one red in the center for a brake/running light...

Also picked up an SR500 fender from MrE. It works nicely as a fender, mud guard doomaflotchee here.

I got the SR fender roughed out for the oil bag and the seat base.

Welded a couple of mounting tabs to the fender and a tab on the frame from a VT fender. I never throw shit away, even random tabs I cut off of things.

Got the fender mounted a bit up in the frame and somewhat hidden away.

Now that the fender is shaped, time to smooth it back out...

Those three spots and spread the lip a bit at the seat.

No problem.

Here is a front fender I'm considering. This is either SR or XS... I think. There are a couple of creases at the front that need smoothed if I choose to use it. I'm thinking it may be a little long, though...

They're from Oznium. http://www.oznium.com/led-bolt They work really well as turn signals. I wouldn't say they are harsh, but plenty bright to be seen by cages. They should get diffused a bit by the housing. I suppose I could go with that tinted look that's all the rage around these parts. ;D I used a 16mm set with lenses on my CB360 for rear turn signals. These lack those domed lenses, but they're still waterproof.

Gonna have to give em a try, thanks for the link. the smoky look is a good idea for sure if it works with paint and style... or mask it and do red/amber (color mixed with clear paint), it works like a charm and if you paint a black pinstripe to break them up it really pops.

So I have a decision to make. Do I decide that the single front disc and rear disc is enough braking power, or do I go with the dual disc front end setup? With the SR caliper now mounted, I have a complete front end- front and rear discs mounted on the right side. I'll need to get the necessary digs to go dual.

It would require about a 4mm shim on the bolts. Strangely, the dual disc wheel is narrower. I'll need to add a shim on the axle as well. The single disc is from a KZ650 and the dual disc is from a GPZ550.
