Lowered the front end since this is going to be a cruiser we replaced the springs with pvc until we can get to a place to cut the fork tubes down

Re: Third Times a Charm CB175

Zeke would like to stretch ourselves a bit on the engine and go for a dry clutch...any thoughts?

Re: Third Times a Charm CB175

I love that idea. It's not strictly necessary, but a good place to start is with a CR93 parts list or shop manual. The clutch cover will need and an insert to keep oil inside and you will need a way to spline the gear to the drum. Check out Ducatis for ideas there and TZ Yamahas just for ideas. TZ uses a boss with external splines that mates to internal splines on the back of the drum. Ducati just bolts through IIRC and that is probably an easier way to do it.

Dry clutch, 4 valve heads and gear cam drive with shim under buckets and Ti valves. Hmmm. Tasty. I wonder what the cylinder spacing is on a CBR250? Just thinking out loud here.....

Maybe an external cam gear box like a CR93 or AJS 7R ..........

Time to start casting heads and barrels........

most passions are unnecessary and having three motorcycles in the house that's unnecessary but it sure is FUN. The key as you told us early on was to have fun. Thanks for the info we will start researching ! We leave for Georgia Saturday with a little lay over at the Barber Museum on Sunday!

Re: Third Times a Charm CB175

CR923 is more like a CB92 or 95 with cam drive on the side and really strange, it had a longer stroke, but it has a sweet dry clutch, 4 valves per cylinder etc and is a good place to start dreaming up ideas.

If you can't find one, let me know and I'll see if I can dig out an old print copy and scan the relevant pages

Cr110 dry clutch

I am wondering if we can remove the center drive sprocket and
separate the basket with an oil seal, spacer, and a block off plate?

Re: Third Times a Charm CB175

Zeke and Bryan Fuller made a deal at Motogp. Bryan tried to buy Zeke's first bike Lucky. Zeke told Bryan he would build him a really nice bike if he got a really nice welder in exchange for the Bike. Bryan said he would sweeten the deal...and said He would pay for parts and teach how to fabricate and the tricks of the trade that have been taught to him...Fuller is very organic in his creative process. They have been sending each other drawings that they both have been doing. Zeke was to get the bike to a rolling chassis and the bring it to Georgia for a week...we just came off that week. Zeke and Bryan decided to use the 50cc vintage GP bikes for inspiration. We stopped at Barber on the way to Fuller Moto and spent two days looking closely at these bikes. We really loved the Van Veen Krielder and the Morbidellis
