dual purpose blinking tail lights

bergers

I've been fixing the wiring on my bike and decided I want rear blinkers, and a non stock tail light. In spirit of simplification, how hard is it to have two tail lights(red, mounted like the picture below) and have them function as brake lights, until I flip the blinker switch, then one is constant while the other is blinking? I know I have seen this on some hot rods, I'm just not sure how it is done, whether it is done by modifying a few wires or involves a custom flasher relay. Any help is appreciated

Both good finds, the motogadget M is a lot out of my price range though. The ebay controller is definitely more my price, I just need to learn more about it. That controller you posted is the same one you used?

I looked at the schematic and installation instructions and tried to think it out. For instance if I used the taillight below, which is dual filament so that it can work as a brake light, it seems like I would need three wires from each light(blinker/stop, tail, and ground). The light has only two wires, so is the light housing the ground or is one of the wires supposed to be a ground?

I did that fender delete/tail light mod about 6-7 years ago so its a little hazy. Not the exact controller I used but the schematic is the same and I want to say I bought it at Walmart.

Housing or metal stem should be your ground.
