I had read of a rocker arm mod to replace the small adjusters with "elephant feet" adjusters. It is supposed to reduce wear due to the minor offset of the rocker arms.
I'm not sure, but don't ask Brodie.

Interesting. I'll look into that. The rocker arms are actually in good condition. The cam would have been had it been stored properly.

Massage that motor a bit while you have it apart. 

The only changes I'll be making are in regards to reliability really. Individually the parts and pieces needed to really bump up performance are affordable. Start adding them up and it's way beyond the budget for this bike, which lies somewhere between carving needed parts out of wood and turning tricks for gas money. Lol.

LOL I hear you Mike, you get about the same $$ to spend I do. it hurt me just to buy the fork brace I needed for the GL it was half going price at 75 bucks but broke the parts bank hard.  Looking forward to seeing this one done rad on a shoe string budget,
