1965 Honda CA95 (Baby Dream)
« on: Mar 07, 2017, 16:22:13 »
I came across somebody selling a 1965 Honda CA95 pretty close to me with 2 parts bike to go with it.  I decided I couldn't pass it up.  Not sure what they are worth, but figured I would try to get it up and running and clean it up so the wife can ride it.  Anybody have any experience with one of these little guys?

The motor turns over, the process will begin shortly getting her back to running.  Any pointers throw them my way, and if anybody has a downloadable factory service manual, let me know!

I dont have any advice for you, but around here you robed that man of at least $600.  Always thought those were cool bikes.

Fair price for that collection.

Lazloh restored one a couple of years back and some of us have some experience with them. Essentially the same as a a C92 (125) and some parts common to a CB92. Fun little bikes.

I've been working on one for 8 years ;)

As bought:

The way it has been for about 5 years now!  I really should finish putting it together :P

"Quality . . . you know what it is, yet you don't know what it is. But that's self-contradictory. But some things are better than others, that is, they have more quality. But when you try to say what the quality is, apart from the things that have it, it all goes poof! There's nothing to talk about. But if you can't say what Quality is, how do you know what it is, or how do you know that it even exists? If no one knows what it is, then for all practical purposes it doesn't exist at all. But for all practical purposes it really does exist."

Good score! A friend of mine has a 150 for sale for $400 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I think it is in decent shape, but has not been restored.  Some parts for them are getting hard to find.

Thanks for the link Turnturtle.

Tim, nice thread.  Hilarious how long it has taken, looks pretty sweet right now!  I may be picking your brain every now and then.
