I have a whooped set of tubes and lowers that have corroded, and am at that point where I am deciding what to do next. replace with another 450 or similar, or go big. Unfortunately, going big (GSXR, etc) typically requires REAL big in terms of $$ for everything, brakes, wheel, controls, etc. Trying to keep this under control, I came across a 1977 Honda CB750K front end for pretty cheap.
Anyone know if this is a direct bolt on, and if not, is it worth it? it comes with the triple tree and forks that look cosmetically great (not worried about changing out seals). 2nd part is, will it require a like front wheel (need to replace the stock rim anyway)or will the 450s disc hub work.
