Are these things removable? I assume it will be damaged if I try to powder coat this cover.

Well I figured it was probably pressed in and or has a rubber gasket which would be damaged by the heat of the powder coating process. I haven't popped off the case cover yet, or drained the oil. Anyway, I'm trying to decide whether or not to polish or powder. I'd like to do a satin finish, but I believe it's a dipping process?

They are pressed in from the inside - but you will more than likely damage it trying to remove / re-install it.

As suggested they can handle quite a bit of heat so I don't think you will harm it by PC'ing around it.

It's probably a 'standard' Kawasaki part?
If you can get a new one push it out.
I don't know much about temperatures involved in powder coating parts but it it is overheated it can cause some nasty issues (plus, the 'glass' is usually plastic)
I know they are available for XS650 but no idea if it's same size as Kawasaki
