CB750 dohc primary chain tensioner

I'm at the fully stripped, measuring and checking phase and have found the primary chain has stretched and tensioner badly worn. New chain, no problem. New tensioner no longer available.
Are there any companies that can replace the pad on these?? Any used tensioner is likely to be worn also, and it seems daft spending a fortune on engine parts only to fit a worn tensioner. Any ideas?

You should be able to fit a delrin/teflon strip there, how to bond it as reliably as from factory, not sure.

Vince and Hyde from New Zealand offer a new timing set (chains, guides and tensiiners) that have been developed over several years of racing. They're damned near bulletproof from what I understand, and are what I'll be investing in if/when my bike needs chains

+1 on the Vince & Hyde. They’ll out last the engine. These OEM tensioners were weak points in the motors.
