As per title I can start and ride off without a Key...

Sounds simple but it's only when the light is on low beam.

Light off or I'm high beam It acts as if the key is out.

Light in L everything works as if the key is In.

I've checked all the wires and seems correct.

Any ideas?

A little clarification, please...

The key is just not in the ignition or the ignition switch is in the off position and the key is also removed? Some early models, it was possible to remove the key with the ignition switch in the run position.

The barrel is in the off position key out. If I turn the light to mid beam. Everything works apart from the read light for some reason

Your wiring is either incorrect or there is a significant fault in the ignition switch.

You'll probably need to get a multimeter out and start testing. The solid red and red/white wires are the only wires that should have power with the ignition switch off. These wires run from the battery positive terminal to the ignition switch and rectifier, respectively. Nothing else should be connected to them.

Thanks for the reply, I'll get the multimeter out tomorrow there is definitely power going places in the off position so I'm sure I have a wire crossed somewhere. Just finding out where isn't going to be fun!

Any idea what these are meant for?
